Marantz has developed our own discrete circuit boards to replace standard IC's. These HDAM's (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror image L/R signal paths. These devices do exactly the same thing as the Op-amps, but outperform these solutions dramatically in terms of the Slew Rate and reduced noise level, resulting in more dynamic, accurate and detailed sound

The PM6007 introduces a new digital filter for Optical and Coaxial inputs. This two-mode filter (Filter1/Filter2) allows optimized reproduction of digital music content using the new AK4490 D/A converter to your taste. Filter 1 is a slow roll-off preset that improves deep stereo imaging and Filter 2 is a sharp roll-off filter for more precise imaging reproduction. |

Acoustic Energy AE109²
The AE109² is designed to offer effortless, room filling performance from a slimline floor-standing loudspeaker in much the same way the world acclaimed original AE109 did 20 years ago. To do this, two 130mm paper drivers utilising an ultra-high force motor system are used in partnership with a 25mm soft dome tweeter. The 2.5-way crossover features a unique topology allowing integration and power handling previously un-achievable from this type of speaker. Particular attention has been paid to the phase and time alignment for the most cohesive performance possible.
Like the AE100² stand-mount speaker, the driver and crossover are housed within a substantial 15mm HDF cabinet that takes styling cues from the award winning 500 Series. The result is an audio product with clean and uncluttered lines that can still deliver the thrilling and powerful presentation Acoustic Energy owners have come to expect. Satin black and walnut vinyl veneer finishes are available.
Compact floorstanders that deliver room-filling sound
Big enough to fill most rooms with sound but not too big to physically dominate, the AE109 speakers achieve a perfect balance. The availability of matching centre, sub and standmount speakers also make the AE109 ideal as part of a home cinema speaker system.
Twin woofers for bass power
Using twin bass woofers not only improves the AE109’s power handling, but also means you get a deeper bass, too. From large Classical orchestras to stadium rock, the AE109s have the depth to deliver full-scale dynamics, for lifelike sound.
Slot port for bass control
Always powerful, careful engineering ensures that the bass never becomes too much, however. A slot-shaped duct at the rear controls airflow, reducing turbulence for a smooth and tight bass.
Silky smooth top end
At the top end, the AE109 uses a soft dome tweeter to deliver smooth, lifelike treble. Acoustic Energy’s Wide Dispersion Technology spreads the sound widely, meaning you get to hear the ‘sweet spot’ in a wider area of the room.
