Acoustic Energy AE100²
The AE100² is a compact standmount/bookshelf loudspeaker that exhibits qualities which perfectly embody those of Acoustic Energy. The AE100² has been designed with a view to achieving high sound pressure levels from a small enclosure. This is obtained principally through the use of a 130mm mid-bass drive unit built around an ultra-high force, long throw motor system. Bass performance is augmented by a slot shaped duct allowing for a considerable cross-sectional area while negating the issues of air turbulence.
A 25mm soft dome tweeter featuring our Wide Dispersion Technology completes the driver compliment and is housed within a 15mm HDF cabinet. Taking design cues from the award-winning 500 Series and finished in a choice of satin white, black or walnut vinyl veneer finishes. The AE100² is sure to look good placed on speaker stands or bookshelves, while delivering a sound that belies its compact size.
Small speakers from the compact monitor experts. World renowned for the original AE1 model, Acoustic Energy are right at home when it comes to small speakers. The AE100 takes all that knowledge to make it a small speaker that punches hard. Ideal as a monitor speaker in a smaller room, or even on a desktop, the AE100 delivers precision across the board. The availability of matching centre, sub and floorstanding speakers also make the AE100 ideal as part of a home cinema speaker system.
Slot port for bass control
Thanks to its long throw driver, the AE100 delivers a deep, powerful sound for its size. Careful engineering ensures that the bass never becomes too much, however. A slot-shaped duct at the rear controls airflow, reducing turbulence for a smooth and tight bass.
Silky smooth top end
At the top end, the AE100 uses a soft dome tweeter to deliver smooth, lifelike treble. Acoustic Energy’s Wide Dispersion Technology spreads the sound widely, meaning you get to hear the ‘sweet spot’ in a wider area of the room.
Choice of finishes
Available in choice of satin black or walnut vinyl finishes, the AE100 matches your hi-fi components or room décor. A limited edition white version is also available.
